About Me
Tom is a General Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons), a Master of Professional Psychology, and a PhD in psychology.
Tom has experience working with a wide range of individuals, including children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults. He brings a warm, compassionate, and understanding approach to therapy, primarily using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to help clients manage their concerns and enhance their quality of life. He has also completed training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
In addition to his clinical work, Tom has a strong research background and is a published author in the fields of health psychology and sport and exercise psychology. He is particularly interested in understanding and helping individuals modify their health behaviors, including diet, physical activity, and alcohol consumption.
Tom has also worked as a Lecturer and Research Fellow in the university sector, with experience in government-funded community health campaigns focused on lifestyle health behavior change.
